Govnovoz Idle
My first major solo game: a pixel-art incremental sim starring a Soviet ZIL sewage truck, mini-games, workplace absurdity, and an unexpectedly serious approach to game systems. Built with Unity.
View game on itch.ioI build websites, tell stories, and make things that didn’t exist before. Sometimes useful. Sometimes strange. Ideally, both.
I’ve worked with technology long enough to remember a very different internet. But I never wanted technology to be the only thing I do.
Web development is my main profession. I design, build, and maintain websites, online stores, and digital services. Most of my work revolves around WordPress, from visual design and user journeys to complex integrations and technical problems.
At the same time, I write, draw, work with comics, design game mechanics, and experiment with new tools. I’m equally fascinated by what makes an interface intuitive, how a story can unfold in a handful of panels, and why an absurd game idea can turn out to be surprisingly engaging.
I like connecting things that seem to have nothing in common.
Not everything here is finished. Some projects are evolving; others belong to earlier chapters. Think of this as a map of my interests, not a trophy cabinet.

View game on itch.ioAn experiment in minimalist browsing: a modern engine, a lean shell, and the ambition to build an open, unrestricted extension platform. Less clutter, more control.

PERSONAL WORK & PUBLISHINGWebsites for publishers, media outlets, organizations, and businesses, as well as online stores, complex integrations, redesigns, and ongoing maintenance. My core professional work for over two decades.
SELECTED CLIENT WORKBehind my creative projects is hands-on experience: websites, maintaining production systems, interfaces, publishing workflows, and working with all kinds of people and challenges.
I prefer clear goals, thoughtful written communication, and focused work without unnecessary bureaucracy. Good outcomes matter more to me than looking busy.
WordPress, WooCommerce, HTML and CSS, interfaces, visual design, integrations, and website maintenance. I work on both new products and complex existing systems.
I have worked at Yandex. Over the years, I have collaborated with Komsomolskaya Pravda, Sovetsky Sport, Vechernyaya Moskva, and Boomkniga, as well as friends and colleagues at Alt Graph Publishing House and Comics Publisher. Other clients have included the Finnish Institute in St. Petersburg and the Legko-Legko charity foundation.
Graphics, typesetting, print production, comics, visual storytelling, and websites for publishing houses.
Game design, interfaces, writing, prototyping, Unity, and experiments with AI-assisted development tools.
I’ve always been interested not just in making things, but also in how people imagine, experience, and understand them.
Over the years I’ve volunteered for charitable initiatives, worked in comics, appeared in short films, music videos, and book trailers. I’ve performed my own comedy on stage and joined the band Piknik onstage as a performer.
I read science fiction, fantasy, and popular science; listen to a lot of music; love video games; and explore how people and the world work, from anthropology and folklore to neuroscience and artificial intelligence. It’s impossible to understand everything. That doesn’t mean you have to stop trying.
I want to make the world a little more interesting, understandable, and humane. Creativity and technology are just different ways to get there.
